Foam Cannon with a Honda gas powered unit. I am looking into an electric or foam gun as the gas unit is cumbersome.

I have foam cannons for both gas and electric powered pressure washers and a foam gun for the garden hose. I`ve only recently acquired the foam cannon for the electric washer and have used it twice. I had always assumed that the more pressure that was available the more foam you could produce. After only one use of the electric cannon, I`ve changed my mind. This new one makes foam every bit as well, probably better than the high pressure unit I have. The gas pressure washer literally has twice the pressure and delivers twice the GPM than the electric unit does but it doesn`t make more foam.

I`m surprised to hear that folks don`t get enough foam from their foam gun. I get great mounds of foam with mine. Is it possible you have hard water? That would be a possible cause for low foaming. The only soap I have used that has low foaming is Reset. No problem with anything else.

Oh yeah, here I got hard water. But in CT I didn`t

Half the time I don`t even get that, gotta shake the **** outta the can while spraying
You`ve mentioned this to me before. Would you use it more often if you got the kind of foam you desire? I know you`re a fan of a waterless wash too but there are times when a foam gun/cannon is the right tool for the job.

I do more "real" washes. I use the foam gun when trying to do decon washes and want some "dwell time" compared to just a mitt.

I have the BlackFire labeled Gilmour foam gun and I get plenty of foam. But to get all that foam I use cheap OTC car wash soap and use a good 4 ounces in the quart bottle and set it on the third largest hole and move it to the second largest hole toward the end of my presoak just to empty the cup. I like it because I can`t believe that it literally removes most of the dust and dirt on this soak and rinse. All that is left is to wash off the road grime.

That spray foamer was something I was looking into for winter time to presoak at the car wash to help with the road grime and salt. It was a different brand but it was a foamer for disinfecting bathrooms or gym showers.

Gun, but it`s busted. Bought an electric pressure washer so I might also get a cannon, but I`ve been quite pleased presoaking with rinseless mix even during traditional washes.

I found the foam gun more useful concurrently sprayed at the wash mitt rather than just using it for presoak.

Both only use when car is extremely dirty. I use sss in either with good results. Cannon with thick foam looks Kool and clings longer but after rinsing stays in and on driveway too long. Next rain produces foam run off ;)

I have both but do not use them that much. I get better foam out of the foam cannon with my CamSpray but a lot has to do with soap dilution and mixture settings. Want more foam? Add more soap, Water quality also can affect foaming.

I have both, but haven`t used the gun in over a year. Once I got the cannon there was no going back.

What pressure washer/cannon do you have?
