Have you used any of the Micro Mesh sheets on paint? what grit did you get and how did it work? I would love to get one of each but they are a bit pricey. Is it cloth or paper?
 
I use 1200 grit Rhynogrip velcro sand paper you can use the 6" disk with the PC . I've used it with DA air sander which has the same 6" velcro pad as the PC.
A box of 50 runs you $20 shipped from e-bay. Then hit it with some polish PB SR 2.5 +SR1. Cheapest way considering the micro mesh is $1.5 per disk !!!! I also think that at some of the high levels like 5000 to 12000 (for micro mesh) you can use compound+polish for same results at a lower cost.
