Where to buy?

I'm gonna guess you are going to tell us about some crappy gauge you are about to try to sell us, otherwise you would have googled it.

Bwahahaha! Made me spit on my monitor!

I'm using ones made by "Accu-Gage". Can't for the life of me remember who I got 'em from though

I have maybe a dozen "good" (scare-quotes intentional, but some of them sure cost enough) tire gauges, most of which gave slightly different readings. The folks at VDI swear by the Accu-Gage ones, so I ordered up a few of them and compared 'em. They weren't all in complete agreement so I sent 'em all back and said to return *two* that were dead-on.

The vendor I was dealing with ([darn]...who *was* it?!?) contacted the manufacturerer ("got a nutty customer here..." no doubt :o ) and when all the dust settled they sent me two gauges with test/calibration documentation. FWIW, only *one* of my many expensive gauges agrees 100% with those two.

Couldn't compare my Accu-Tire digital one with the two as its battery died and it's a "return to manufacturer" deal that I'm not gonna bother with.

LOL. I luv it.

Accumulator and I see eye to eye on many things and AccuGage is considered the most accurate with its Bourdon-tube design. However, they are more fragile than others.

I'm fairly certain I see these being sold at/near the counter in Advance Auto Parts stores. G.H. Meiser (AccuGage mfr.) does loads of private label branding for these devices so you'll see them under many different name plates.

(I've always been able to return mine to the mfr for either chuck repair/replacement or calibration. They're really good about that.)

Ohhh, I should have mentioned that the AccuGages I have are fitted with a little bleed valve making precise pressure adjustments very e-z and very fast -->

Interestingly enough, my other (pricey) Bourdon-tube gauges disagree with my AccuGages. Or rather they did, past-tense; I tossed 'em out during some Spring cleaning, thinking I'd spent enough time on the whole thing and was never gonna get 'em recalibrated.

On the fragility, both of my AccuGages are rubber-encased models. The (standard, not encased) ones at VDI actually take a fair bit of abuse without apparent harm (they have their calibration checked pretty often). While I sure don't abuse mine, I decided to spend a few extra bucks for the peace of mind of the nice thick rubber.

Probably because your 1st post here didn't have much to do with what this forum *generally* caters to.......Detailing? Tire pressure guages and the maintenance of a tire's pressure isn't really part of detailing, but you are welcome and encouraged to post a thread about it. As you probably weren't aware, the administration and some long time members are overly watchful of spammers using similar tactics to set up and attempt to sell/market/spam us with their products. Forgive us for not 100% taking your 1st post at face value, but because you choose to redeem yourself here I personally feel your intensions are genuine. Welcome to Autopia and I hope we can offer more assistance moving forward.

The one I have looks almost identical to that, but has the rubber case like Accumulator mentioned. I've been very happy with it.

I also have a digital unit that is integrated into an inflater valve:

Shop Tuff Deluxe Digital Tire Inflator/Gauge | Air Accessory + Tool Kits | Northern Tool + Equipment

Seems to be pretty accurate when compared to my analog gauge and it measures to tenths of a pound, as well as having kPa and BAR modes.
