Where to buy quality MF's locally...

I've bought microfibers in the past from several mail order companies talked about on the forums here and I've been happy with all of them. However, if I just want to buy a few new ones, the shipping cost doesn't make much sense. Has anyone found any MF's in any local stores - Pep Boys, Advanced Auto etc - that are as good as the ones from the mail order detail shops?

A lot of members like the Viking towels available at K-Mart. I have also been seeing some pretty nice plush towels at at couple of stores, there was a black and yellow at Pep Boys (forget the brand) and the same towel in blue and gray at Wal-Mart (I believe it was a TW Ice towel). I grabbed a 2-pack of Microtex Detailing Towels at Wal-Mart the other day; they have improved this a little and are pretty nice for less than $4/pack, just watch out for the edging.
 
Advance Auto and PepBoys have the Autospa towels-incredibly thick and luxurious-you'll want to sneak it into the bathroom to use as a washcloth.
 
Tom, the Mainstays 2-pack for $2.97 in the dishtowel section of Wal-Mart. They are 16x24 I think. I still use my expensive WW's for paint, but only because I bought all of them before I became aware of the Mainstays. I use them for jambs and other grunge work because they are so cheap but gonna try them on interior glass on Pat's recommendation.

Autospa, that's the yellow ones I saw at Poop Boys that seemed to be the same as the different-colored Turtle Wax ones Pat and I saw at Wal-Mart.

I popped into an old KMart yesterday to see what they had. Lots of Viking towels! I saw a single WW drying towel for $10! What's up with that?? I saw a huge multi-pk with probably 15 conventional MF towels for around $20. That looked like a deal.

For drying towels, I like the Autozone WW's which cost $10/ for a 9ft^2 towel, and the autozone polishing MF's which have a tighter nap @ $4 for a 16x16.



I got a couple of the Carrand/TW Ice towels at AAP, and while I like the edging, they are too fluffy IMHO. For leveling polishes I prefer the low tight nap of the Autozone polishing MF's.



Target also has nice kit of buffing MF's (light blue) that come with 2 MF flannel cloths (light grey). I like to use the flannel cloths for jeweling the finish after I'm done applying LSP/Topper.
 
Just last week I saw some incredibly plush MF towels at my local Costco; a 3 pack (one giant navy towel, two smaller yellow towels). I have never bought any towels more plush than that even online from Autogeek and others. I plan to go buy some this weekend.



Other than that, as others have mentioned, the gray MF towels at Target are plush and a great value.
 
I have been using the yellow Sams Club MFs. They have been good for me and were priced well. They come in packs of 25, I bought 3 of them. I don't get an marring from them even on the Honda.
 
Ha ha I use those too. The microtex I think yeah for lime 12 bucks you get 25. I still like the armoral ones better tho, but those ones are fabulous!!

These towels are still on sale at my local Advance Auto for 4.99. i also picked up some Aquapel for 2 bucks a shot.

At the cost I have been very happy with them. I have 2 new unopened packs still.
