I personally never use anything over 1500 I go from there to a compound. with 2500 you will be working for a long time. make sure you put even pressure over the sandpaper when you use it (dont use the tips of your fingers for pressure). keep drying it to check your progress you dont want to take off more than your need to. tape off the area that you want to do. you dont want to mess up more than you have to.
