Where do clients wait?

For those of you who work out of your homes doing details on the side or as your main business, where do your clients wait for their vehicles to be done? Do you mandate that they drop them off? Just curious as I'm going to be doing a few friends' of friends' cars and I'm sure they don't want to hang around my place with my mutts.

I either ask them to drop the car off, or they literally just sit on the grass and wait. The ones that choose to wait are usually people who are interested in the process and want to learn. I would actually prefer it if they took off sometimes, but for the ones that really want to learn I don't mind explaining what I'm doing. Mostly they either drop the car off or I pick it up and bring it back to my place if that is where I'm going to be doing the work. Only a couple of my regulars want to wait around.

yea i dont like customers hangin around either. slows you down. they can either arrange another car to pick them up or if its out of your garage and your not really busy you can go drop them off yourself if they need to.

i have them drop the vehicle off at my place. i don't like people looking over my shoulder while i am working, adn this way the customer can't see something they would be upset over.
