Sorry for yet another question this weekend...I've been thinkning about a creeper seat for the garage...ideally something with a tray for holding tools, nuts & bolts, etc.

I would like something nice like the $70-100 seats from Griots but for less money...where did yall go for a good seat?

Thanks again for the advice! :)

Sears probably has a decent equivalent , an even less expensive equivalent can often be found in one of the big chain car parts stores

I have a craftsman from sears and its great - padded and everything. they are nice when you are using a pc on the low panels a real back saver- i think i paid ard 25 buck or so for it

I BOUGHT MY CREEPER SEAT FROM CLASSIC MOTORING ASSESSORIES. IT HAS BEEN A GOOD ADDITION TO THE DETAILING PRODUCTS THAT I HAVE PURCHASED TO ENHANCE MY DETAILING EXPERIENCE. IN OTHER WORDS IT HAS MADE IT EASIER. BEST 30 DOLLARS I HAVE EVER SPENT!!

I've tried several including a couple of those already mentioned. This one is the best I have used to date, it's a little higher than the price you indicated but I still think it would be worth your time to look at it. I really like the ability to adust the seat height. Whiteside makes this and it's sold under a bunch of different name brands but when I went looking for one Sears price was the best.

That seat that daytona recomended is real comfy. I have one at work that i bought from Matco tools, however its exactly the same chair. I have tried other chairs, and that one by far is leaps and bounds beyond others in comfort. The tray has a small magnetic strip at the bottom, its not the strongest, but its not bad.

Come to think of it, I think I will order another one! :)

about 5 weeks ago i bought a seat from sears, craftsman I guess. the seat was only $19 but i think it was on sale.

I use a rubbermaid cart to keep all my supplies in when i clean my car. easier to manage the bottles, towels, pads, product and buffer on the cart instead of stowing them under the seat. The cart was about $70 and can be found at janitor supply places and I think staples & office depot carries them.

I bought one today from the cummins traveler guys. I don't know if they come to your area but they give the sickest deals anywhere. 15 bucks and it's real low (better for detailing) and it has a great shelf. Can't really tell but it's only 4 inches taller than a phone book. Much better than the taller ones because you have to bend down all the time when doing the bottom of the car. It's easier to detail up rather than detail down IMO. it has those real good creeper wheels too. I've been looking for a long time to find something like this. My old one was a round seat with creeper wheels, but my back hurt after a detail from bending down all the time. I would say this is pretty close to those sears ones, just a lot less money.
