When using a DA, what causes the product to accumulate in the center of the pad?

And how do you prevent it? I've been noticing, especially with aggressive pad/product combinations (LC orange w/ M105), that a lot of material begins to collect in the center of the pad after two or three passes. It usually is a bear to clean out. I imagine it is spent product and paint collecting in the pad. Any tips for keeping this to a minimum?

Clean "on the fly" after each panel. By this, I mean, after each panel, take a clean terry cloth and hold it in your palm. Then take the polisher and place the pad face down onto the cloth. Set the speed to 3 and turn on the polisher. Press the cloth into the pad and hold for a few seconds. This should get most of the build up out. When it gets to the point that the pad is no longer coming clean, change to a new pad.
