when to use pre-wax cleaner

another general question for the group:

in what situations do you use a PWC? is it necessary after claying to remove residual clay (or is a wash enough?)

do you use it after polishing and before sealants or is it not necessary because the polishing products would clean the paint sufficiently?

OR...it is for removing previous wax/sealants prior to starting from scratch on a new layer of sealant?

1. Personally I would use the PWC in that situation, just to be sure.

2. Some polishes have oils and/or fillers, in which case use the PWC. If not, it's probably not ABSOLUTELY necessary ;)

3. Yes
