When is a gallon not a gallon??

If as a supplier, I bought what was represented to me as gallon jugs, I would fill them and sell them as a gallon of product. It would never have occured to me that the jugs might not hold the quantities specified. An honest mistake could very easily have happened. The U.P.S. story doesn't sound quite right, though.

That's what I was thinking, but it seems like they've known there was an measurement issue.

I personally have never had an issue with CG shorting me product, but if they are doing that to others, then SHAME on them.

your getting beat up there...

I post over a Autopia very little about 12 times so far. One thing that stands out on that thread was the lack of trust in some posters about DC.

Its an online forum about car detailing. Not the feud of the Hatfield's and the McCoys, or your two rival High School teams

However some can read passed that and get the gist of what was trying, and I do mean trying to get across.

I'm still shaking my head in disbelief over some online posters.

Agreed. I am a member of many detailing forums and I think it is obvious which one I prefer. At other sites I ignore 50-60% of the posts because they aren't worth reading, IMO. I don't see those types of posts here on DC, just a bunch of people informing and teaching about detailing.

I still don't get bad mouthing an online forum... especially when those members are members here as well....

I post on other forums some not about cars...imagine that!:) Anyway I see that some people like the flex their Internet muscles, and enjoy arguing, insulting, making fun of and just making an a$$ out of themselves. Its the anonymous factor that allows this attitude. I can't imagine that these people are that combative in real life, maybe those are the ones that Jerry Springer is getting for his show........LOL

Autopia is a good site, it's got it's share of granola - fruits, nuts and flakes but it's usually pretty good. Like most, it has some very good advice if you can find it.

yes the bickering and accusations about people are not very mature especially when they are about forums and their administration. This thread is about a customer getting what he paid for and nothing more. Excuses are not needed by them, for them, or by blaming a common carrier like UPS, FedEx, or USPS.
Can mistakes happen when bottles are filled? Absolutely !! You people all drove me crazy openning up cases the last few days to double check, not that I wouldn't notice it before packing them. Jlift has given everyone something to think about and it's time to move on rather than taking company sides or forum sides. I am a member of both sites and owe a great deal to both. In the words of Rodney King "can't we all just get along?" .
Have a nice day :)

I dont think i was getting beatup in there at all, I was just forwarding info to other members about a possible problem. My intention was not to start a war between 2 forums OR badmouth CG. We are all detailing fans and we should put aside our problems over what product is better and just enjoy what we do. I did not know there was a beef between AP and DC but I do now

CG did the right thing here they made the customer happy, I commend them for that

PB 2 points for ensuring your products do not have the same problem, you will be seeing my money soon :-)
