Wheelwheel Dressing that Lasts

I've never come across a wheelwheel dressing that lasts.

The last product I had high hopes was the Tuf Shine Trim Coating. It lasted a bit longer but nothing marginally better than other products...

On my SUV, which has a bit more *exposed to the eyes* wheelwellls, this detail on look is more critical than let's say, the sports car.
I currently just use the whole ~lot~ of tire dressings that I don't use anymore which will probably take forever for me to use up..

For the garage queen, I tend to use Adams Undercarriage Spray. Been using that forever, and I like the look it gives.

Just need something a bit more durable...
 
If you take the time to prep the wheel wells well ( ;) ), Sonus Trim & Motor Coat does a fairly good job of lasting. If you are willing to put up with a little bit more tedious application, Ultima Trim & Tire Guard is pretty amazing! :rockon

Since my cars' wells are plastic lined, I use Ultima or Solution Finish. It does not take as long as you think. I will do this 2x per year and then using a tire dressing like PB Bold n Bright in between.

I have a 4, maybe 5 year old bottle of UTTP. Tried is 2X on my tires, went back to my favorite Z16. Hell, I still prefer the look of Z16 for tires, but Tuff Shine is more maintenance free. UTTP for me, lasted just as long as the others in my stash

PAD - I have a bottle of Hyper Dressing as well. It's one of many retired tire dressings I use on the wheelwells...

Depends on the clearnance between the tire and the wheel well. Some car's/trucks its fairly easy to get in there, whilst others are a nightmare.
 

I use CG Barebones for temporary solution when its dry out.


But Ultima T&TG as well as Sonus T&MK are my two options for longer lasting solutions. Of the 2 I prefer Sonus T&MK due tot the spray on and and walk away application.


 
Prevent your tires from throwing water and debris against the wheel wells and they'll always look nice.

I keep it simple and cheap. Spray with tire foam and agitate with brush at every wash. My wells are clean and black most of the nice weather months. During winter I don't care.
 
I use UTTG and it seems to work well. I did 3 coats originally and it's held up well. I don't really drive in really nasty conditions though.
 
I just picked up some Megs Hyper Dressing. I am going to dilute it at 3:1 and see how it works on my wheel wells and engine compartment.
 
Get yourself a HVLP 2oz detail gun. Simplist way to dress everything, suspension parts, frame rails everything under there with a nice thin coat, no wasted product and drips on the drive.:rockon A coat of clear paint would be a nightmare once it starts chipping and peeling.
 
Meguiar's Hyperdressing at 3:1 was my go to dressing for years. If you look up my REALLY old details, it was what I went with for a couple of reasons:Easy to use and it smells GREAT! I always like using a great smelling product last and leaving the car with a detailing perfume.
 
I couldn't agree more Todd. I know a lot of people are against fragrances in products but theres nothing better than you your garage having a really nice smell for a couple of days after a detail. Almost like the candle section at the store!:bigups
 
Do you guys get rain where you're at. One rainfall, and Megs HD has always diminished for me. Well. it's the nature of the beast, bearing it WB

You should like it. Beauty of it is, it's SOWA. No wiping or messing with it. Surface does not even have to be dry.
