Wheel Polishing

I have lack of experience when it comes to wheels.

I have had good luck on new wheels, getting them clean and protected. I use apc to clean with a soft brush or wheel mitt, then I use Pro Polish to clean and shine, follow with a wax or sealant for protection.

I ran into a nasty set of wheels and could not get the baked stuff out from the tight corners, The wheels looked so much better, but getting into these tight area was a pita. There was a little left that started getting to me.

Would a special tool or product help? Thanks

Just purchased some Spray and Rinse today Auto Geek is running no shipping and free gift promo today. Never used this but if it works the way everyone is saying well worth the money.

This is the etched in, or baked in stuff in the corners. I don't believe it's my wheel cleaner, But I need a good wheel polish, and way of getting in tight corners.

Does anyone use any gadgets when wheel cleaning?

Does anyone use S100 polishing soap?

I just used Spray and Rinse on my GF's wheels and it got the nasty brown crud off the inside barrels of the rims. The stuff was on there for at least 100k miles. I have used clay and polish on rims but it is a huge PITA because it all has to be done by hand because of the tight quarter you have to work in.

Guys, Wish I had pics of these wheels no spray product would of taken this off, I tried two different apc's, and then pro polished them with a few terry cotton rags.

The PP worked great, However I had to use some umph to clean them up. I just could not get in the tight crevices of wheels to save my life. I tried a few dodads with small brush and towel, foam applicators, etc. could not get to it good enough. :wall

have you tried PP on a brush? :hmmm:

I tried PP with a towel wrapped around a brush. Some of the stuff came up, but some remained in the corners. I didn't even think of just using the brush? do you think this would of worked?

Yes, that's what I use to do before we had Spray & Rinse ;)

Are these after market wheels or OEM...Was thinking that if we could see a pic of them. Then we could make suggestions on how to get them cleaned in the corners
