Wheel Hazing

I know the polished ones are coated but not the chrome in my experience. Which of their wheels are factory chromed?

Fact: the the factory wheels on my brother 2002 Trans-Am WS-6

are polished aluminum and not clear coated!



I have seen factory chrome on some camaros, grand-am, Bonneville, Cadillac ect....

and thought they where CC but I'am not sure

i have a set of 2000 caddy escalade crome wheels with no clearcoat.

Chrome plating is so much tougher than CC that I just couldn't imagine it being done. I have visions of CC lifting from chrome and having a milky appearance.



While I don't know for sure, is it possible that the wheels on the WS-6 were anodized and it was removed by harsh cleaners or even polished off? All the one's I've seen have the same appearance unless they're chromed. They all seem to be polished with some type of coating to my eyes.

he bought his used so who knows what was done before he got it



but the first time he asked for help with it I know ther was no coating

and the wheels need polishing
