What is QEW?

Protectall's Quick and Easy Wash. It is really awesome stuff, once you use it it'll pretty much change the way you wash your car.

Basically, when I want to wash the Focus with it, I take 1/2 gallon of water and mix a half of a cap full of QEW into it, then wash the car using that water and a microfiber towel (plus another bucket with water to rinse the towel in) - and, best of all, no rinsing required, just go straight to drying. So you literally can wash your car with 1/2 gallon of water. Makes it great for us mobile guys.

Anyway, my plan for this winter is the two ez-up canopys with sidewalls that I ordered. They're 10x10, and I figure I can put them up side-by-side and throw the sidewalls up for a 10x20 portable room to detail cars in. I'll probably throw in a small heater of some sort. I figure it will make detailing customer's cars this winter a thousand times easier.

Anything over 35F, I'll still wash outside; colder than that, QEW in the garage -- if it's really salty/dirty, I'll take it to a washbay and hose off as much as I can before QEW'ing it.

On colder days, I'll also use my halogen lamps to warm up the garage, it works pretty well.

QEW in the garage with my 40,000 BTU heater, it's insulated and doesn't get below about 50, but I turn on the heater to maintain the temp with the garage door open, keep the products safe :) I have three thermometers in the garage to monitor the temp, two near all my products to keep an eye on them :)

umm...why don't you just close the garage door?

Two reasons... more natural light coming in, and two, more space... I can leave the back end out a bit and have more room to work on the front (garage isn't that big, 18x20). With my car, I wouldn't have enough room to do the front or back with the door closed.

Have you ever seen this before:

Insulated wash mit

Pretty much what you are suggesting.

Problem with that one is the rubber glove looks too short. I wear knitted gloves for warmth and then slip my entire hand and forearm into elbow-length formed latex gloves.

In all, I think winters are the perfect time to use QEW. I love the stuff.

Ok I understand now.
