What's your glass cleaning regimen?

I have gone to finishing the windows with straight water and a good glass cleaning MF....I start with IG and that cleans up the glass...like yourself I found that I would still see some streaks appear later...so I started using water as a finial and that worked!

Just a note, make sure that you are using a good glass MFT it makes a difference

I have used Stoners and I do not see streaks.

I us both of these methods for cleaning windows. 2x for the water as a finial. I've used lots of window cleaning products, and didn't really get the desired results that I was looking for. But the water a clean MF as Beemer said WORKS!!!

I also have fallin for the Stoners line INVISIBLE GLASS  Stoners :rockon. I just started using there products about a month ago (because O-reilly's had it on sale 2 for $7). As Bunky stated "I do not see streaks"

News paper works for me, for some reason it cleans streak free. Glass cleaners I use: Zep concentrate and Meguiars NXT glass cleaner. These seem to work the best. For some reason microfiber towels would streak unless I dry buffed, news paper seems to do the job In one shot.

This thread seems to have some staying power, as it was initiated a year ago this month. 5 pages of 42 posts, and rather timely as I encountered a new windshield (exterior) cleaning "opportunity" yesterday. The windshield was covered with hundreds (literally) of tiny dots which proved impervious to glass cleaners. I started with a wipedown of IPA and a Scott "Extreme Rags" towel. They didn't budge. Switched over to Windex and a "scouring" sponge. Again, no improvement. Forgot my claybar, but had a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Finally, after an hour of scrubbing square inch x square inch (simply wiping proved ineffective), getting on and off the step stool to look from different angles, the spots were gone. I did a wipedown with IPA and Scott "Extreme Rags" and then a final wipedown with Windex and a blue huck towel.

I don't know for certain what the material was, but judging by the color the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser turned and the tenacity of the product, my guess is a road surface sealer.
