What's your favorite One Step Cleaner Wax?

What do you guys use for an Express Detail that cleans and shines well without any surface prep like clay, polish, etc...?



I see many of you have Express Detail packages and offer a cleaner wax.



What's your favorite and why? What do you recommend that's most effective and can be bought locally?



Do you guys use a different soap as prep for the one step cleaner wax for extra dirt removal? Like EF Power Wash, etc...

I know you said that you wanted to know what you can get locally but I thought I'd suggest Klasse AIO anyway. It doesn't get cleaner than that. It would also protect better than a cleaner wax since it lays down a small amount of sealant on the surface. I've tried cleaner waxes and AIO is just so much better. You may not be able to get it locally but ordering the good stuff isn't too difficult. Your customers would be impressed with your attention to high quality products too.
 
Meguiar's #20. It has pretty decent cleaners, but probably not as good as AIO, and beads up water really nice afterwards. Not as durable as many of the other sealants people prefer here, but not bad. It was all I used for one step, prior to Klasse.
 
Mother's cleaner wax is hands-down the best cleaner wax I've used. It dries quickly, wipes off with no effort, doesn't stain trim and leaves the kind of shine that's typically associated with high-end pure carnauba waxes. (It did really well in the GuruReports test as well).



If you're looking for something a bit more durable, you can try Mother's Reflections or their new Hot Wheels wax(?).



BTW, using a CW does not replace what the claybar will do for your car. You'll still need to clay every once in a while. Once a year if you maintain your car well.....maybe twice/year if you don't.



No need to do anything different when it comes to shampooing your car.

I actually have AIO. I use it on my wheels. Do you personally apply AIO with a PC? If so, what pad do you use? If by hand, what type of applicator?



What about Moose Wax? That seems like a good cleaner wax. Any users here on this thread who like it as a one step??

I use AIO by PC all the time. Sometimes with a CMA Yellow pad and sometimes with the sort of red ones from Meguiar's. It just depends. I don't think it matters too much really. I have used it by hand with a microfiber applicator the longest and that has to be about the softest thing you can use. Its still gives great results.
 
Vanilla Moose is now my favorite one step product. Very light abrasives though, so it works best on good paint. I know it beads for at least 2 months based on my testing of it on a black Ford Expidition.



One step sealant, my favorite is Final Polish. Again, a very light abrasive, but it leaves a wet shine very similar to a carnuba.
 
my favorite one-step is Einszett's Express Polish and now their new Metallic Polish & Wax. the express polish has a little more cleaning ability than the metallic, but the metallic leaves the surface much smoother. both last for a few months if you take care of your vehicle the autopian way(wash once a week or at least every 2 weeks and QD after). i prefer to use either Poorboy's Spray & Wipe or Clearkote's Quikshine as my QD to follow my weekly wash. i only wax about once every 2 - 3 months now and my truck sits out 24/7.
 
Favorite cleaner wax? That would have to be Meguiars' Cleaner Wax paste with carnauba!:up It adds so much depth to the paint, goes on and off very easily, even in direct sunlight. I can apply it to the entire car then come back to it and it still comes off with no effort or QD assistance. Leaves the surface very smooth and beads well too. Intermezzo, I've been wanting to try Mothers but just haven't got around to it yet. If it's better than Meguiars, I will be just that much more pleased.
