What's your favorite *bulk* car wash

I've been using BMW carwash for awhile now...it's $7.25 for 16 oz which wasn't that bad as the carwash was pretty good.

I ran out of carwash, and stopped by the local autozone today. Picked up some EO carwash - $5.50 for 64 oz.

Been meaning to try the Perls carwash, but I was going to order it with my spring detailing supplies purchase. At $8 for 8.5, this stuff better be good.

Back to the subject......as long as the carwash has decent lubricity and sheet/rinse well, it works for me. I wash the car ALOT when the months are warm, so at $8 for 8.5 oz, it's not really that economical, even though I'm sure Perls is a great product.

Next purchase......a gallon of Meg #62 just to see what results it gives me. Just curious to see what *bulk - gallon sized container* carwash shampoos fellow detailers use.

Eagle One WET shampoo has been my choice for years.

Meguiar's Gold Class shampoo is another good choice, esp if you can get it on sale at Target. Normal price is approx $10/gallon.

I guess AZ raised the price on E1 shampoo. Its been $3.99/half gallon all summer and fall around here.

It was $4.99 but with local tax, it comes out to $5.50 which is still a VERY good buy for a carwash if it's good.

You'll really enjoy the Perls Shampoo. It doesn't suds up much but is very lubricating and cleans winter grime very good. The sheeting action as you rinse is terrific especially if you follow with a final rinse of free-flowing water. Very few droplets left to dry up! The beading is unbelievable. Although, like you mentioned, it isn't very cost effective, so I'm thinking of using it as strictly a fall/winter shampoo.

Eagle One is a very good shampoo for the price. I've also liked using Mother's Cali Gold Shampoo, but it is harder for me to find now that Advanced Auto doesn't carry it any more.

Happy Holidays!

I am in the same boat, love the BMW soap, 1000 ML for 7.50 is a great deal. My problem is I always forget to buy it and they are a pain to get to for me. I ordered the Pearls, I will report back how it compares.

I have already used up all my little bottles of Mothers that come with the clay ..... im hoping my pearls arrives for the 50 degree weather headed here this week

I was in the shop the other day (BMW) and the bottle has changed. Same shape/size as the previous bottle, but instead of a clear bottle, it's a grey bottle. Don't know if the formulation is the same. Rumor has it that it's rebottled Sonax

Megs Gold Class :up Can beat it when it goes on sale at Target. I do have a coupon for a dollar off E1 that expires that end of the month. I might have to give it a try.

I was at the BMW dealer recently and saw that same bottle, they also had the old style bottle which now had a very yellow liquid. The old style was almost orange. I didnt pick it up since I know im going back to pick up my car tomorrow

I tried the Perls Shampoo. I have to agree with Macgirls review of the product. I really like this soap.

One vote here for Meguiar's Gold Class. Not only does it work great on the MA-chine, the remainder (if dumped on the proper side of a fire ant mound) will chase the fire ants into the neighbor's yard. :D

.

Meguiar's Gold Class is really good and it is around $10 a gallon from target

PRO's Cherry Suds is also great and it smells good. 5 Gallons is around $40.

Turtle Wax shampoo from Costco. A gallon for six bucks. Works just like the Connecticut Zymol one, minus the wonderful smell.

Meguiar's Deep Crystal Wash???

I bought 1/2 gallon size of Meg's Gold Glass shampoo ($8 @ Target, $10 for a FULL GALLON !) and that was about 2.5 years ago. I am just about finished with it. I use it at about 50% of the recommended strength and find it works very well. On a strict performance/dollar rating, it is very high. Is it my favorite shampoo? No, but your thread was asking for bulk shampoos and it fits that criteria very, very well.

I recently got the Perls soap and the 1Z soap. The Perls works well but I cannot not offer exceptional. Perhaps I need to try it on a less-pristine finish...it looked no better to my eyes than any of the other shampoos. It's a product I won't re-order. OTOH, I really like the 1Z Glanz shampoo and it is super-slimey which I really appreciate when the cars are filthy in the winter. A very nice product worth trying if you have a shampoo fetish like myself.

I also picked up the Duragloss 901 shampoo. Good stuff and great, strong suds but does not offer a distinct gloss as the standard bearers do. One thing I found is that if you don't dry your car after washing (which I don't always do on my daily driver due to time constraints), this stuff dries real nice on its own...better than anything else I have seen with minimal water spotting.

My favorite shampoos are: P21S, SONAX and Pinnacle's shampoo (available in larger size).

I'm gonna order the Platinum shampoo soon to check that out. With all these shampoos, there is a reason my cars are the cleanest in town! How could it be any other way! :D

Clean, well-cared-for cars ROCK!

Happy New Year.

I would say Meguiars Detail series Car Wash. I also just tried something called Body Wash w/ Clean Glaze from Ultra Car Care products. Both of those get a thumbs up for slickness, suds, and suds that last :)
