Whats your biggest gripe

WHAT is your biggest gripe as far as monthly expenses go.What is the hardest check to write(for whatever reason) each month.:wall

Example,

light bill.supplies,insurance,payroll,taxes....ect.:bow

It was my car payment, but I just paid it off. I guess it will end up being my mortgage when I move up to NJ. The monthly payment will be a little more than 4x than it was here in AR.

Electric and gas bill. We try and cut down but still costs the same every month and there is no other option.

Here is what really sucks about monthly bills. If you try to call any of the services that you pay for, you have to press 1 for English! That is just BULL%*#@! What country is this? Then you have to listen to a couple of minutes of options for what you trying to find out. You press the # for that option and then once again you listen to MORE options. When you finally talk to someone either they have a foreign accent or sound like they are drunk, stoned, stupid or a combo of the above. Yes, I am an angry AMERICAN! Sorry for the rant.

It was car payments, but I don't have any of those any more...so the next one is PG&E services and gas prices that are getting back up there again!!!!!

This is the United States of America. A country with no official language. You may not like it, but without an official language, there isn't much you can do. I, for instance, have learned a little bit of Spanish. It's a fun language and it certainly doesn't hurt when trying to talk to someone that doesn't know any English at all.

Yo hablo...

muy pocito

Took 2 years in HS because I figured that I was far more likely to travel to Mexico than Germany or France, and I wasn't planning on a legal or medical profession. Clep tested out of 2 college semesters (BIG mistake BTW). Use it on occasion to "converse" with fellow employees and waiters/waitresses.

What do you call someone who speaks three languages?
trilingual.

What do you call someone who speaks two languages?
bilingual.

What do you call someone who speaks one language?
American.

It is a changed America. History shows that when immigrants came to America they worked hard to assimilate as quickly as possible. I know we make it too easy to cling to a native tongue, or maybe it is just ignorance or laziness. As my kids went through school, it wasn't unusual at Parent/Teacher nights to have the kids present to act as interpreter for their parents.

It appears that we have become a hyphenated country. We are no longer happy to just be Americans, we now must be (fill in the blank)-Americans. I get it...signed Texan-American. :D

OK...returning you now to your scheduled programming. :notme:

Mine would have to be my student loans. Reason being I don't have the job I want yet so sometimes I get the feeling college was a waste.

How about making out a check for property taxes and insurance on a house that is paid for in a amount larger then what the original house payment was. Land of the free. LOL

Paul
