Have some breakfast and you'll feel better.:D
So far he isn't trying to convert everyone to Zaino and that's really the only problem I have with Zainoholics. They seem to belive it is their job to get everyone to use the stuff.
Hey, I've used it, good stuff. Like I said, lots of good stuff out there.

While I've never used the fabled "Z" system a good friend of mine has been using nothing but Zaino since he purchased his Impala SS back in 1995. I must say, his car always looks great.

Plus, it has the Boss_429 stamp of approval on it which is sort of like a food processor getting the Good Housekeeping seal of approval.

Zaino

Yes I use it, but I'm not one to cram it down everyone to use.

There are so many products that are quicker, provide a good level of gloss etc.

Hell, I got hammered by Mike Phillips, Meguiars on another forum due to the actions of #20 Megs sealant.

Anyway, try to find what works for you and stick with it. If you choose to try something else and it doesn't work, so be it, back to what you know works. But that's the fun, trying new stuff to see what works, what makes it glossy or better than before etc.

I've seen very good results from Clearkote stuff: VM, Moose wax and a new product that is pure carnuba that they just released.

Have fun!

Words of wisdom.... well said!

Yep, I would agree! I really like Zaino, and stuck with it for a while because of it's durability. However, I never tried to cram it down anybodys throat. Still, when somebody tries to "bad mouth " it, I'll stick up for it........... cause I know for a fact it is good! I'd do the same for Platinum's UPP, as I really like that product, as I would for Poorboy's products, as I like them too. Same goes for P21S, Trade Secret, Pinnacle, Meguiar's, and some Mothers products......... and on and on. There in lies the point you made.............. a lot of good products.............. and so little time! :D

Not bad, ptcruiser; 26 responses minus your 2 nudges to keep it going. 24 responses to the equivalent of a person standing on the street corner haranguing passersby on their choice of dry cleaners.

24 responses to a post that has about the same value as shouting out "Your team sucks!"

25, counting mine.

Zaino or Sealant ABC?

OK, so Zaino is very good stuff, we know that. As for "others" out there, a good bunch have petroleum "cleaners" in them to assist in bonding, so whatever you had on prior, kiss it goodbye!

However, some of us (not me though) will top Zaino with a pure carnuba wax, such as S100, Souveran, or any real straight carnuba to obtain a bit more depth. Careful, as some waxes are not just only carnuba, but some still have a petroleum cleaner as opposed to a petroleum binder agent to just flow the carnuba.

As everyone cries that it's labor intensive, well do you want to put a sealant or any wax over a poor looking finish thinking that by magic it will look better? The only thing you get with wax over non-preped area is oil floating some wax. Yes it looks a bit glossy (oil) but not really shinny. The answer is Polish until it is as close to mirror looking as possible, enough to think it's already "waxed" looking. Now you're ready for Zaino or sealant ABC or wax.

My SC430 took 3M PIII-MG and some Glue-Zerna FP oh, sorry, Menzerna FP on just a grey finish pad as I wanted ONLY the polish to work the finish to a very high gloss and NOT the pad. It worked as usual. Then came all the washing to remove oils from polishing. MIxed up ZFX/Z5 and had my Z6 at hand and went to Zaino! If it streaks when removing and you applied it thin, not to worry, mix up in a spray bottle: 1/2cap of Z7 with 12oz water. Spray the effected area and wipe off. Streaks gone! COntinue Zaino Z5/Z6 for three coats. Once happy, I went to Z2.

Now, the SC430 is not fully perfect, as I still have some swirls that I ran out of time to get, so next time, consider them gone!

Zaino is expensive, but you use so little, with the exception of Z6. That I use quite a bit, so to save it, I use Megs #34 for QD work.

That sums it up. Questions?

Deanski

Questions? z2 z3 z4 z5 z6 z7 z8 z9 z10 z11 z12? I never said Zaino was a bad prodct, nor did I slam them. I think everyone agrees that it is expensive and how many ptoducts do they need to make to interact with each other? A respected member here ,whom I won't mention, told me in a word, Greed is what makes Z cost what it does. No sense keeping this thread going, each of us can spend our money how we want. Buy from Dwayne in case quantity, now that's a value. see ya, wait, your touching my car again. ;)

No, but you slammed the people who use it by saying "they are naive, and they are out there".

So, if you don't like the product, and don't want to spend the money.......... that's fine. However, don't ridicule the people that do. Besides, Zaino products are no more overpriced than a LOT of products on the market!

Oh yea, couple of things.............. Zaino doesn't have a Z8, or Z11........ and I seriously doubt that I would want to touch your car! :D

Bye!
