I ordered my first bottle from PAC a few months ago and really liked it so i ordered more from Autopia that just came in .

It seems like the new one is twice as thick , end up needing twice as much to work with and twice as difficult to work with?

Also it did not want to wash out of my pad ,instead of mixing with water it kind of separated and came out in goops and blobs.:hmmm:

Maybe because I had some left in my old bottle and added the new to the same bottle they did not gel together for some reason

Anybody notice any thing like this ? Thanks!

Thats odd. I have a sample that I was sent close to a year ago, and a bottle I bought less than 2 months ago, and they seem identical. Could the temp/humidity have anything to do with it?

As for not washing out easily, I would assume it's due to the product having protection in it. Just like how it's hard to wash out sealants from pads. Since this product has some sort of sealant-like protection, it seems to be harder to totally clean out of pads.

As long as I've been using Poli-Seal, it's been a thick viscosity. If the bottle you received from PAC was much thinner, it's possible it was exposed to extreme heat or the product was just really old and separated.

A paint sealant/wax should NOT be easy to wash out of a pad. Why? Because a paint sealant/wax is NOT water soluble like a polish or compound.

For future reference, I would not recommend mixing new products (with an obvious difference in the viscosity of the product) with older products. More often than not, slight changes are made to formulas for the better but are not always publicly announced.

Every single product you see in the Autopia Store is (unless it says "CLOSEOUT") is the most recent formula. All of the products are fresh with our stock rotated on a regular basis. :rockon

Had a chance to compare the new bottle today and I think its because I mixed the two together because the new one seems fine in the larger bottle ............wont do that again!

Thanks for the replys Flannigan and atopia tech!:)

I do remember you told me you had mix the both before. All the Optimum products I remember were new from the manufacturer when it was at PAC.

I do know when I inquired why it was so much cheaper then other sites I was told this was the older version and since then I just now checked the price the price on a gallon has gone up 20.00 so something has changed .

Im not worried about it and think its fine . I just wont use the ones I mixed anymore.
