What's the most amount of time you've spent detailed a car (exterior) for hire?

I recently detailed a slightly oxyzided Lincoln. Polishing, glazing, and waxing took me 5 hours, which I believe is pretty close to the norm.

But, I was thinking if I had to "step down" while polishing it could have taken 7+ hours.

What's the most time you spent detailing 1 car's exterior?

I did an 8hr detail on a white expedition...my little PC was getting kinda warm after a while of removing tree limb scratches......

7AM to 5PM on a Ford F150 Lariat that was lifted with 33" tires that I had to stand on to reach the middle of the hood. It had heavy oxidation and I was only "versed" at OK to good paint condition. It cost me about 200 dollars to do as I had to buy a polisher to complete the job (orbital wasn't cutting it and burned up anyway) along with some cleaner and polish to deal with the paint situation. To REALLY seal the deal, I only charged her 90 bucks and she wasn't even cute. Boy did I learn!!!

Just an exterior? Probably 5-6 hours. When I first started out detailing professionally, there were a lot more single stage paint jobs out there in dire need of attention.

8 hours, first time I'd used multiple steps,

Wash, dry, clay, wash, dry, polish, wax, the wheels got the same treatment also.

12 hours on a 79 Lincoln Town Car Coupe. It has only 15,000 miles on it with baby blue paint. I had to use Diamond Cut Compound with a heavy use wool pad and stepped it back from there. It had sat outside for 2 years out of its life and had HEAVY acid rain etching. I'd say I removed about 30-50% of the single stage paint. Theres still some baby blue compound dust in the cracks and crevices of my shop floor.

About 8 hrs, but I expect that number to increase this summer with the addition of overkill polishing steps :D

8 hours for a Grey Toyota Sequoia. The exterior was not too bad, as the car was basically new. But the interior...ugh...cherry pits, gum, grapes, fries, etc. It was the family hauler.

5 hours on a Civic Hatch! That thing was a wreckkkkk.

On my own car, the time I spend on it is endless. Minor tweaks and QD's are always a must.
