What's the easiest way to clean up wax that gets into crevices?

Beside re-washing the area where the wax went, what's the easiest way to get wax that accidentally gets into crevices? This has been a problem for me in the past and I haven't quite found a solution.

well powerwashing it out is by far the easiest and quckest way to do it. But if nothing else.. Soak it down with a quick shot of foaming glass cleaner and then blow out the crevices with an air gun into a awaiting MF towel.

q-tips with some APC or IPA. Also pint eraser works well, if it is really in a tick spot, I use a tooth pick with a steady hand.

Wax is usually pretty difficult to blow out of the cracks with a pressure washer, but it works great for compounds/pollishes prior to waxing. I usually use alcohol w/ a microfiber.

Use a soft toothBrush to clean crevices. The best way is to not use gunky White wax that drys pastey and sticks in crevices. Finish up with a CLEAR carnuba yellow wax that has no color going on. Throw all the gunky stuff that dries white and chalkey IN THE GARBAGE. Profound but TRUE. You dont have to spend amillion dollars on product I can name many that are SUPERIOR placed in the industry...others arent worth the garbage can.

I have been detailing 38 plus years and dont use a pressure washer since I watched my friend blow some moldings off his Moms car back 32 years plus ago. Could you see me arriving @ the 300,000 1957Corvette with apressure washer? Hang on Andy while I blow some of your show chrome off your doors. POWER WASHERS HAVE NO PLACE IN DETAILING. JUST MY OPINION...perhaps a wire wheel once in a while. A pressure washer could put you in deep SH... real quick!

i use one of these with QD, microfiber towel, and lightly go at it. these are discontinued, and PAC still has some of the discontinued megs accessories...

This is the most incorrect, over rated posts I think I've ever seen. I'm surprised you didn't say that pressure washing will scratch paint too. I don't know how anyone could operate in this industry without one? :wall

A pressure washer used right is a big time saver and does a really good job cleaning places you can't reach.. But used the wrong way(like any tool) it can do some damage..

As for getting wax out of crevices, I also think a PW is a good tool for this and not using too much product so it gets in there in the first place..

Then you arn't using it right. I use a pressure washer ALL the time for pre-rinse and love it. Won't wash without it; usually PW, then ONR.

A proper sized one and accessories (E.g., 65* nozzel, 2.4gpm, 2000psi) works beautifully. If you damage a car with it, then you were doing something incredibly stupid that I can't fathom, or using the wrong nozzels or type of washer.

BTW, i'm surprise you even detail - your friend probably installed swirls like whoaski onto his mom's car whenever he washed it, so according to you you shouldn't ever wash a car since you saw your friend put swirls into it when he did it :spit:

The easiest way is to avoid wax to begin with. Use a product that doesn't leave any white residue such as Zaino or Werkstatt.

Ugg... I hate to say it but you're quickly becoming one of the biggest moron's posting on this site. You may have over 38 years experience but apparently you learned your craft in the first month and have never bothered updating your skills since then. Get with the times and try and figure how to properly do things please. Instead of ranting about your ancient techniques that for the most part are completly outdated and have been proven faulty time and time again.
