What's the best way to use Meguiar's Quik Detailer?

Right after I wash and dry off the car I would like to use Meguiar's Quik Detailer on the car. would this be ok? better then not using anything at all right? better then just a wash and dry alone?

I think the best time to use a Quick detailer is right after a wash and dry, because there won't be any loose dirt/particles on the paint. So the chances of swirls/scratches induced by applying a QD would be minimized. I just ordered some Menzerna HGAS, I plan on using that after everytime I wash/dry (once a week)

Typically a quick detailer is used when the car is only mildly dirty and you want to just "spruce it up" Supposedly the QD helps to prevent any of the dirt and junk from harming your paint as you wipe it off.

I think that using the QD right after a wash would have little to no effect.

i always follow up with a qd/spray wax after eash wash as it adds slickness/extends the protection (also gets any waterspots behind) and makes the wash next time around a little easier...

I only use Meg's QD as a clay lube. Sometimes I use it to nab some water spots.

You can also mist your MF with it as you dry to add a little lube/less drag.

Everyone has their favorite qd. I love FK425 for finish work, Meg's as clay lube, and Poorboy's Spray & Wipe for "dusty"/light dirt.

Yup...same here - the only time that I use QD/booster spray wax is after I wash and dry the car. I wash once a week so I am not really keen on QD'ing everyday (does help in minimizing self-induced marring this way). However, I will break out the QD if a bird bomb hits.

Meguiar's QD was my first QD and I used it for practically anything at that time. It's a fairly average performer - no true weakness or strength - but it can be found practically anywhere and at a great price. Using it after a wash should pose no issues.

Yes, what you said is fine. In fact, its what I did for a while before I got ONR. I still really like Meg's QD... ups the shine a bit, and leaves some slickness behind... doesn't smell that bad either, and wipes on and off very nicely.

Nice for a very temporary "boost" after washing.

Like others have previously mentioned, I, too, use QD's after washes to get rid of water spots (Pretty bad around here-hard water). You could also try the Qwik Wax. (Or any spray wax.) That might actually give you more noticable results.

Meguiars Quik Interior Detailer is a pump spray detailer for all car interior rubber, plastic and vinyl surfaces.

is this the one you're talking about? i hope so cuz i used it on my car today. i used right after i dry off the car. i spray it on and wipe off with microfiber towel.

Do NOT use a QD on a "mildly dirty" car unless your goal is to mar your paint. You should only use a QD after a wash for additional cleaning and maybe a gloss boost, or for spot duty like bird bombs.

thats when i use a QD(last touch),after a wash to give it that slick feel if it needs it plus it smells soooo good.

could you attach the photo of Meguiars QD so that i know what it looks like? today i wash/dry my car and aply Mequiar's Interior Detailers spray on my paint. now, i'm not so sure if that was ok. i thought that was what everyone ment when ya'll said Mequiars Quick Detailers. i posted a few thread about this but i havent gotten any answers yet.

No the Quick Detailer is made for paint and the interior detailer is made for the interior. I wouldn't use the interior detailer on anything but the interior.
