Whats pads do you use most often?

I've got 16 of these pads - 4 orange, 4 green, 4 white and 4 black.

EVERY SINGLE one of them has had velcro problems and a ring cut into the blue foam just beyond where the velcro extends. I've used them with rotary, DA and forced rotation DA (Flex or Makita Bo6040) machines.
 
Hello everyone,
I recently stepped up to the Makita rotary after 4 years with DA only polishing. I have Kompressor pads, HT pads, and classic pads.

I have read a lot of complaints about HT pads on a rotary. On my 2008 ceramiclear M-B, the rotary with an orange Kompressor pad and SIP cuts through defects very nicely, but the pad is pretty firm and gums up quickly with the "finicky" SIP. Sometimes the polish clumps, and sometimes not. I'm not enjoying the buffer skittering up with clumped SIP. I've thought about going to a tangerine HT pad because the real cut that I feel I need is the cut of SIP,as I'm removing mild-moderate swirls/RIDS on this recently bought vehicle. The tangerine pad is a bit softer and I'm guessing it may glide more smoothly on the finish.

Anyone have any thoughts about this?

I personally have never had that happen. My cyan pads have started looking a little rough on the face. One of them is about at the end of its life so I'll probably turn it into hand or tire applicators soon. I've never had the backing come off one though... I alway let mine dry for at least 2 days after cleaning them properly. As far as the face of the closed cell foam the HT pads use, it probably doesn't last as long as open cell foam...

Thanks for the info. I like to let my pads air dry for a few days before putting them away or reusing as well.
