what's more aggressive: ssr1 or vm?

I was wondering which would have more bite for scratch removal?
Also, would vm give just a tad more depth/wet look before topping with ex or would ssr1?

If you are looking for scratch removal neither of these products would be suited to do the job. The only defects removed by these light polishes are very fine swirls or micro marring from more abrasive polishes. You are going to need to step up the aggressiveness to remove any serious swirls/scratches. It is difficult to say what you'll need unless you can post pics of the problem. As for your second question I prefer VM.

Yes, I understand what you're saying. I'm referring to very minor swirls and marring as you mentioned.

Personally, I would prefer the SSR1 before EX as it won't leave anything behind that may shorten the life of the EX. Plus the look of SSR1 is amazing!

I think that SSR1 is a little bit more aggressive than VM. VM has fillers in it to make the swirls/scratches less noticeable. SSR1 does not have any fillers.

Personally, I use both products. I use VM when using a wax, and SSR1, when using a sealant.

I hope this answered your question.

I like VM very easy to remove, leaves a deep wet shine. I have some PBs SSR1, but have not had a chance to use it. Have topped VM with EX and CMW, both look very nice.

I like both products as well. SSR1 smells a lot better than VM, but that isn't what you're asking, LOL.

I believe SSR1 has a bit more cut than VM, but VM does have some fillers that may temporarily improve light scratches.

Personally I would try SSR1 and move to something more aggressive if you need it.

You could then use either VM or SSR1 to remove any marring and to leave your surface ready for your LSP. I haven't used either product with EX (I typically use PwC with EX) but have used both with EX-P and Pinnacle Signature. A lot of people have expressed concern about durability with VM as a base, but I typically don't leave anything on too long. Right now I'm at 3 months with VM + EX-Px2 + EX-P+.

I don't think you can go wrong with either VM or SSR1 as a prep to your LSP...just not sure if they'll take care of your scratches.
