What's Black, Grey and Red all over?? New Ferrari 458 Color Scheme

After detailing a Ferrari California the owner was so happy with the work performed that he called his buddy who just took delivery of a 458 and I was leaving when I got a last second call from his buddy to do a quicky on this 458 while I was on my way out so I swung by to check it out.

I've only seen less then a hand full of these so far but this color scheme was dynamite.

It was late and dark out I didn't have time to document anything plus it was only a quicky, nothing fancy or special, maybe next time I do it...

This 3 day old Ferrari 458 Italia was quite dirty so I did the usual wash, QD wipe down, rims, tires, brakes, windows, door jambs and everything else cleaned up and dressed to make ready for a show this weekend, I did not touch the interior.

Wish I had more to say but that's about it....

Here's the pics, quality is not great as it was dark out and lighting in the parking garage was poor. It is what it is. I will get some sunlight pics next time I do this car as well as a more thorough detailing.

I had to set up shop in a parking garage next to the valet, they did not mind though. ;)

Round two...

I love the black top, grey rims, black brakes and red color, I think it's a perfect combo.

Car looks good paint wise... But honestly, I don't know if I can say I like this body style...yet.

you have to see it in person and take you time looking at all the different facets it has, very unique design, out of all the F cars I've done, I think this one is the most sexy and cool design I've seen. It makes me think of taffy, like they just wrapped warm taffy all around the frame and painted it red. ha

Looks great Josh!

thanks, I've got a few more I'm waiting on owners to pick up so I'm even more excited now that I've done one.

Hopefully he lets you go all out on it one day! Looks great. I like the color combo also

Yes hopefully, the black top was hazy and needs to be polished out, but I'm not sure the owner knows what paint correction is, we'll see what happens.

Great car josh!! How was the paint on this one as far as sand marks?

Barry, I honestly did not even have a chance to evaluate the paint with lighting, I had no electricity in this garage and the lighting sucked as you can see, but next time I'm going to talk him into detailing it at his home and not at his work, again it was a very last second call and I really did not have time for it in my schedule so it was not a serious detail. I've got a few owners waiting on there's though so I'm hoping to take one the distance soon.

HAH Josh! I was at the Ferrari Festival this weekend and this car was there with 2 other 458s :) Good job buddy! I took lots of pictures too!

Apparently, all the INsensitive people are leaning on the car while taking pictures, with their zippers rubbing against the paint and all...

Dang, I did not want to hear that..... ha

Well, maybe I'll be doing some sanding and polishing next time around.... I also did that black Ferrari California if you happen to see that one too, he's picking up a black 458 in the near future as well. good times...

Yes I did! The show was excellent. They were just missing an Enzo.

But really, good job on the 458. My dream car for sure! I wish I worked on a 458 :(

Looking forward to some sun pics if you get your hands on it again. Cool looking car. :)

I've been stuck working in parking garages too, but I usually can work out electrical access (good luck on them allowing a generator to run all day :lol ) and a couple I've been to have dedicated wash bays with good lighting and electrical access. A few times though, I've had to deal with the same issues you did, poor lighting and no electrical access.

Thanks, too bad they did not have an Enzo, I was at a show up here in Dallas a few months back and they had, in order, an F40, F50 and Enzo all lined up next to each other, that was a cool sight.

thanks, I've seen a yellow, black and red in person now and must say my favorite is the yellow so far. The metallic black was nice too though.

yea, I told the owner, next time I'm doing a serious detail and at his home and not his work. It was way too difficult.
