Whats a good leather conditioner?

I've used lexol cleaner and conditioner. I've found that if you have the time, they work pretty well, although there's really no improvement in smell from where you started. I really thought the cleaner was a PITA though, as it kinda foams up in a very soapy manner, although it cleans well - it requires wiping off with a wet rag, or several to get all the cleaner off. Then you have to do the conditioner step. I guess with as much work as the exterior of the car takes, I am one of those that simply is not willing to do a 2 or more step leather process. I have personally been searching for a good one step leather cleaner/conditioner to use, and am going to give the pinnacle a shot. I have found decent results using meg's gold class wipes, however they definitely leave the seats slippery, and not smelling like leather. The smell is pretty good though.

for a simple cheap protected leather wipe down. find some baby wipes that are not water based. water drys out the leather. If it's an alcohol based wipe it will do a good job cleaning things off. You can then step in with a good conditioner.

I don't recomend this for heavy cleanings or even as your standard cleaning option. But as a wipe down option and conditioning step it is a good option.

This will work on protected/aniline leathers. Nubuck, suede are different beasts and should be cleaned with nubuck/suede specific products. NOT OTC,sprays,or Creams.

For conditioning the leather use baby oil. Apply like vinyl dressing.

For shine: formula 2001 (there are many more products out there, but Forumula 2001 works good and can be purchased at your local store.

have you guys tried mequiars gold class leather conditioner? the liquid form?

I have and for a wipe down product I think it's fine. However if you are doing or have done a deep clean i would use a conditioner that will absorb a little better. Work it in in stages, take your time ect ect.

Poorboys and Zaino Leather in a bottle get my vote. I prefer the Poorboys as the Zaino tends to have an over powering "leather saddle smell"
