What would you want to take with you on the ultimate road trip,if you could make one?

If you got to make the ultimate road trip (and money, geographic location of the trip and the make / model of the desired car you'd most want to use wasn't a limitation), what things or person/s would you most want to take with you and please say why.



You can take any high profile person/s you admire, irrespective whether anyone named is living or is presently deceased.

With the money, geography and dream car part out of the way......



I would take my wife. While she's a horrible navigator, we just bought a Garmin and that free her up to "help" in other ways...:laugh:



Having seen WAY too many horror movies in my time I would have to take along some sort of firearm with LOTS of ammo.



Digital Camera with lots of MB's of memory.



Either a satellite radio or my iPod to help with the soundtrack.



All things being equal and I know this wasn't part of the question, but, I would have to make the trip in one of the new Year One Trans Ams...preferrably the higher horsepower one!

On Top Gear (Season 10 episode 1) they went in search of the ultimate driving road. I think they ended up in Switzerland. So if I could go anywhere, I would choose that place.



Here in the US, I would head up PCH. Some of the roads around Big Sur/Monterey are incredible.



I would probably take my 2006 Mustang GT or the new Corvette ZR1.

A cross country trip (and back), where I could take any route I wanted, stop any time I wanted, and immunity from the police.
 
For me, i'd take the new ZR1 or the International CXT Truck, both detailed to the hilt of course. I'd have a bajillion dollars with me, my 9mil strapped in the consoles, Jessica Alba in the passenger seat. Ipods, cameras, Garmin.



The car would have to have an awesome stereo. If I took the truck, i'd have George Strait in the bed playing live, if the car, me and Jessica Alba would be doing to many things to listen to music ;)
 
I would be riding a Honda 650R with Natalie Portman on the back. Trip would be through the mountains and it would be a bare bones vacation. A DSLR is a must as well.

id drive from philly to miami, and hit up the coastal highway, then drive out west and stop at las vegas, travel through empty desert roads then stop at san diego and maybe LA, then take the coastal roads up to north california and stop at san francisco, then continue to drive to montery california and see laguna seca, then fly home and ship the car back





im really trying to convince a friend to take a road trip down to miami from philly, i want to drive on the A1 scenic highway on the way back, i wanted to go down in march to see the 12 hours of sebring, im hoping to go down for a trip this summer



id take atleast 1000 dollars, alittle extra for emergency

a radar detector if i could afford one

lots of painters tape to decorate the car

Id take michael shumaker to drive, so I could sit shot gun and drink beer. ferarri 355. dazed and confused soundtrack. pch through big sur, ca with police barricades so the road is completely open.

PCH, Limo, and the Pussie Cat Dolls!!!!



Since this is dream, PCH is good as any other place, why drive when I can drink beer, and why not live it up and PARTY LIKE A ROCK STAR!!!

On another note I dont recomend a 27 hour drive in a 93 RX-7... now I know how fighter pilots feel... I only stoped for fuel and food, and I went to the bathroom when I got fuel and or food... I also used a gatorade bottle...:D:usa
