If you're on the road, not much you can do without your polisher and some good polish, so, when you get home get out your PC, a white pad and some M205 and polish out the swirls. Should go fast with soft clearcoat!
That's the plan. However, I've yet to get 205 to finish on this paint without micromarring, even with a gray pad. My next step is to finish with Ultrafina and/or PO85RD.
On the road, you might be able to find some Meg's polish and a soft foam hand-polishing pad at an auto parts store, then polish the tank and bags by hand. Wipe off residue with a Cobra and some detail spray and you're good to go...
I usually carry a small bottle of an AIO, left it home this time.
It must really be soft if ONR + Cobra MF left swirls! Never seen that! It would be kind of irritating to see swirls EVERY TIME you wash it! :banghead:
I usually wet wash with Gold Class or CG CW&G then blow it off leaving only the slightest bit of wet residue. Usually wipe it down with Final Inspection or UQD. I'm thinking the WW I used wasn't as soft as some I have. Gonna have to reserve the top-shelf only for this duty.
I saw a thread recently somewhere (maybe here?) about Jet Black paint on '07 BMWs being so soft wiping off polish residue instilled swirls. The detailer finally found a way to finish it without wiping it with anything. Got it in the showroom and told everyone NOT to touch it !
Sorry to hear that TL, if you have the time stop by CMA and I'll be glad to help out or maybe Master Jedi Todd who live's closer to Daytona might help if he's at home.
Headed north Sunday, just rolled in to my secret Lair in the Woods. I hope you find the warmer temps as a result of my departure to your liking. :banghead:
This guy knew this was your button and he wanted to push it.
Naw, it was totally innocent. He was just having fun and didn't have a clue.
Your reaction was the only way he would 'get' how he wronged you. He deserved it and needed it.
Mebbe so, but it should've been done privately after I went somewhere and chewed nails until I cooled off.
I probally would have reacted the same way. Having said that, I wouldn't have been able to rest well or enjoy the rest of my trip untill I gave the guy a heartfelt apology
Done soon after. He felt I owed him nothing and was apologetic as well.
Hey, at least now I'm sure no one will come within 10' of your bike now...
Could be exactly the opposite, if you don't want anyone to get your goat don't let them know where you keep it. I know a LOT of jokers. My specialty for the guys that never wash their bikes is to clean and polish half of their gas tank and leave 'em wondering.

Your a madman/lunatic TLut:
And this is news... how? :w00t:
