What wet/vac are you using?

Same here. Just picked one up last night at HD. Can't beat it for the price. My old vac was a Craftsman 1.25 hp. The thing would always tip over etc.

Thanks to PaPenguin for the info on the sale...:xyxthumbs

Is that the one for $69.95?

I got the Ridgid 5hp 12gal during the holidays and it is a great vac besides little bulky. Comes with many attachments except the dusting brush.

I have the Ridgid WD4050 That I like a lot. It's plenty powerful, can hold 4 gallons of dirt/water and is small enough to carry in the trunk for mobile detailing jobs. I also picked up the $20 accessory kit that has wand extensions, floor nozzle, bristle brush, etc. I've used it quite a few times and am very satisfied with it.

I just came from HD and it was on sale. There wasn't any available and the sign said, " while supplies last".

If you keep an eye on slickdeals.net they always have the info on shop vacs on sale. Last week HD had a 19$ sale on one model which I conveniently forget right now

I too wanted the smaller vac as seen in the picture above. At HD the price was 69 bucks 79 bucks with the extra goodies and I was about to get it but right next to it was the 6.5 hp 16gal with blower on sale for 58 bucks and I just couldn't pass it up even though the smaller vac would be easier to deal with. Well hey at least now I'm able to blow all that trapped water out of door seams.

I use a Ridgid 5.5 hp. I also have the MetroVac from AutoGeek for interior work and a Shark budget vac that is smaller from Home Depot that only cost $10. I'm sort of full up on vacuums. :)

Dont know what your budget is, but the Wap Alto is very hard to beat. Super powerful, and very quiet. You can easily carry on a conversation with somebody standing right next to the vac running. The only problem is it cost nearly $600. Well worth it if you got the money.

My Shop Vac is years old and has been hammered over the years. The unit I have has the removable motor unit which you use as a leaf blower. It also came with a carpet cleaning system attachment which works quite well (The attachment has a tank which dispenses a carpet shampoo which is then vacuumed up with the dirt, etc).

Cost in Australia was about A$160. It makes me cry when I see what you guys in the US can buy these products for :bawling:
