What were your detail'g plans this weekend?

Been a while since I started a thread. YoSteve tried to use yours, but it has been archived.

Washed one Friday and broke out the BF polish. Trying this again. Put two coats of polish on with the PC Friday night. Got two coats of protectant on throughout Saturday (1 with PC, 1 hand), plus wiped down the interior.

That BF really looks good, trying some different stuff to try and retain it's slickness. Going to skip the BF wash this time.

Washed the Odyssey and QD'd with FI.

How about you?

Geeky, give it a day or so before you post::)

Well I had to finish polishing the other side of my fathers Chevrolet Express 2500 van, then I layered 2 coats of All In One and went to the Klasse Glaze.

Next week I got a suv to do and I need to demount the vans tires and rims and really go to town on them.

Well, I was pretty well caught up before the weekend started. I washed my car Thursday night after work so it was still looking good on Saturday. All I had to do was wipe off some splattering on the fenders from the Black Magic I had put on the tires. I guess I need to find a better tire dressing...

Likecars, the car looked great after I buffed it out last time. The buffer worked well, but of course with the car being pretty new it looked good before I started. There are now a few scuffs and spots I need to work on. When I get a little time I'll break it out for round #2. I think it will work even better for the small areas I need to touch up than it did for doing the whole car (battery life is an issue).

Do you have a shop vac? What kind, is it strong enough??

Yep got a good shop vac. First gotta take out all the assorted toys, action figures, stuck candy, stroller, etc, then the real fun starts, apple juice spills, starbuck coffee spills (wife not kids), and god knows what else. The best is when my wife asks why it takes so long to clean her truck as compared to my car. :p

As my signature states, I'm STILL patiently waiting for spring.

Today it's 38 degrees right now here at lunch time :nixweiss .

Hey spring! over here! :wavey

Friday Evening - Out with gf

Saturday - Rained

Sunday - Rained

Besides, I am still getting things together for detailing the new Maxima. :D

The Eagle One WET tire shine aerosol is NOT good IMHO for a professional detailer. Its an aerosol which is not economically possible, too little applications per bottle. I am guessing the can can cover around 20 tires (5 cars) before it runs dry. It also gets all over your hands and the wind will pick it up and put it onto a panel which means extra work.

I am going to try Eagle One's WET Tire Shine spray for tires with grooves in the side wall, and Eagle One WET tire gel for flat side walls with no grooves with the EO tire swipe, and whip out the TW 2001 tire gel whenever I feel like it.

Jason

Oh I thought you were talking about the liquid spray.

I have 4 bottles of the Turtle Wax Tire Gel 2001. TW says it is still being made so I'll be using that for every wheel I dress. It's really impressive stuff.

Friday - QD my silver car, applied SG#2 topped with Souveran.

Saturday - Washed my white car & black car. White car rec'd SG#3, black car was <em class='bbc'>lightly[/i] clayed, PPCL on HOOD/ROOF/TRUNK, 3 Coats Z5FX. Started at 8PM ended 4AM.

Sunday - Helped my brother put on a coat of Souveran on his black SUV.

BOY AM I TIRE FROM THIS WEEKEND!
