What was your first car?

Must have been about 1965 that I bought a 53 studebaker. Paid $125.00 for it and could see the road below as I drove thru the rust holes in the floorboard. After about six months the guy next door passed away and I ended up with his 57 Olds 98. Gave the stude to a friend for free just to be rid of it.

Haha..... I'll bet there are some guys on this board who have never even HEARD of a Studebaker! LOL:D

1976 Green Ford Granada "4 on the floor" that I acquired in 1984. Hand me down from Dad - price $0.00. My dad would Simoniz the heck out of that thing. Shortly after getting it I started using Astro Shield on the paint!

Some great stories, boys, keep em coming.

1983 VW Vanagon. Brown/Tan. 0-60 in like 30 seconds. Luckily I got to use mom's caddy on dates. :o

:White Horse:

My first car was a hand me down from my parents, a 1984 Audi 5000, 150K+ miles, inline 5 cylinder, 5 speed, biggest dog of a car I've driven, but very nice. Rode like a dream, but every little thing you can think of would break, door handles, sunroof motor, window motors, climate control, dash lights, etc. Nothing really mechanically ever went bad, but it was just the little things that would nickel and dime you to death. This isn't it, but it's identical, Sapphire Blue.

I kept it for about 5 months, then my parents bought me my first car that was really "mine", a 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix LE, 2 door, 2.8 V6. I absolutely loved that car and treated it like my first born. I still have a blown up picture of it in my garage to this day. I sold it and the kid got rear ended shortly afterward and it was totaled, made me sick.
