I saved up and bought my first car at 17. I wasn't looking for any particular model, just something to go back and forth to school in. My dad was the one that actually found it and brought it home to show me. We both fell in love with it. It was a 1971 Audi 100 similar to the one pictured below.
Unfortunately I only had it for about a year. After that my dad handed down the family wagon when he bought a new car. It was a 1971 Ford LTD Country Squire Wagon similar to the one pictured below. Believe it or not that car was a blast to drive. It had a 400ci V8 and although it didn't handle too well it felt like a rocket in a straight line
