The other thing I do is if a client sends me 2 or 3 referrals, I may call them up out of the blue, and say, "Thanks for the referrals, I'd like to stop by at your convenience and wash your car for free." This allows them to feel like they are being rewarded for the referrals, and gives me an opportunity to try to point out things on their cars when I wash them, and to try to talk them in to setting up the next paid service.
