What trim treatment???

What's the trim treatment that everybody is using now? For rough plastic mirrors, rubber around windows, plastic bumpers, etc. Anybody find anything that brings the black back and doesn't just wash off and streak? Thanks.

I was in a similar boat and some recommend AIO. I had this in my stash and did not like the results. The black look more muted - I think moreso because it was a sealant type product on the trim.

I started using Z16 and that is my go to trim product ! Just the right amount of gloss and sheen.

Most of the time I use the Klasse twins or 1z polishes topped with 845 (or even VM topped with Souveran for garage queens), but that doesn't always work out on older trim that's in poor condition. In those cases I have to use a dressing :(

The Z16 works well but my favorite is AutoGlym Bumper Care. It's a thick, gritty gel that cleans well and stays put very well in the rain. While I have a lot of other ERV (Exterior Rubber Vinyl) dressings such as 303, etc., I greatly prefer the AutoGlym...but it doesn't get much mention around here :nixweiss

The rubber first off I wipe down with I/A then Megs #40 .. the mirrors etc .. I like colorX cuz it cleans and stays.

Yea as Josh said, I am a new believer in Back to Black!! used it today at Josh's place for the first time and WOW, it made my thrashed trim and bumpers look new again.

When I saw what Back to Black (mothers) did to Jim's trim, I was so blown away that I want to recommend it to everyone.

Tropicare non silicone tire dressing-works great on hard plastic. I think some have used ZCS on hard plastic as well with good results.

So Back To Black is a 'IN' product again?

As far as restoring, nothing really works long-term other than the dyeing products.

I'm currently very pleased with how both 303 and #40 have brought richness to new, untreated trim. They're water-based, so it shouldn't make the oil slick the oil-based dressings do...I'd rather reapply a water-based product twice as often than to deal with that

Some have said the best use for TW Ice Polish is for trim.

I think there are a lot of great trim products, but I have yet to find one that is as good as back to black for the cost involved.
