What to use after duragloss 105?

Is there anything that I need to use after applying duragloss 105? Can I use any other waxes and what would there be any benefit?

You could use any other wax or sealant ontop of 105 as long as it does not have any cleaners ( solvents or abrasives) that will eat the bottom (105) layer.

I would try duragloss aquawax once or twice a month and follow up with another coat of 105 every 2-3 months.

The only benefit of adding another sealant/wax is changing the look that you want from your car.

To my knowledge and from my experience, 105 is a very strong sealant and will last awhile. I would apply two coats of 105, following up with aquawax to maintain.

Exactly. I've tried putting waxes over DG 105, but it didn't do anything for me.

Is there a waiting period after I apply the 1st coat of DG105 if I wanted to apply the 2nd coat? Can I do it the same day or do I need to wait a few days for it to cure? If I wait a few days, do I need to rewash the car before I apply the 2nd coat?

In regards to the waiting period for the second coat, I cannot recall. Your best bet is to call DG ( the number is on the site) and ask to speak to Jerry ( I believe that is his name, you can be safe and ask to speak to " the chemist") who is the brains behind DG. I believe the wait time should be no more than 12 hours, but see what DG says. They are the authority.

Hello, I've tried the following sealants over the past few years and am currently looking at adding duragloss 105 to my collection.

Klasse Twins (old formulation) - great durability, adequate shine and depth, needed wax topper to make it special, pita to remove.

Zaino Z2pro/Z5 regular - looked significantly better than Klasse, great shine although slightly lacking in depth, outstanding durability.

Menzerna FMJ - best appearance, poorest durability, easiest to use.

Where do you think the DG 105 would lie in comparison to those sealants? Also, would you recommend using the pre-bonding agent?

Thanks!

I have been using DG for about 9 months. During these difficult times I needed an option for Zaino. Please do not get me wrong Zaino is an outstanding product but there are many options out there depending on the attributes you are looking for.

DG 601 does improve the ability to last longer IMO. On a well preped surface I use DG 601, right after I do a mixture(60% 105, 40% 111) and go over the entire car very thin. Wait for it to dry, depending on conditions, and whipe off. I will wait 24hours and follow up with AW. This combo gives the depth and solid protection for at least 3 months of washing and drying.

AW all the way!! Start with the PBA, then lay donw some 105 and then, the next day, hit it with some AW.......:wow: I tell people that AW reminds me of leftover spaghetti. It looks great when you put it on but then next day, after it has had a chance to bond with the 105, it looks totally different! Much like spaghetti tastes even better the next day!
