I have a 2003 corvette. The wheel wells are a pain to clean. What is the best product to clean and treat them with so its not as hard to keep them clean? Thanks for any advice, this is a great site!:wavey

clean em with Simple Green then coat them with Duplicolor spray can pick-up bed liner. did my pickup and I think you will be happy too.

wildcat99- Welcome to Autopia! When I had a (lowered) C5 I had to raise it up a little to gain access to the wheelwells. Just being able to get in there easily can make a big difference. I clean all my wheelwells out at every wash so they never really get that bad. Only takes a few minutes while you're doing the wheels/tires.

Look for a "Quickee Sponge Mop" at the grocery/drug store- they're a "sponge on a plastic stick" type of thing made to clean glassware. Very handy for wheelwells, as are the smaller BHBs from Griot's (pn 15520).

Wax/seal the painted parts, use an ERV dressing on the plastic bits. Or you could put something trim-friendly like KSG on *everything* in the wheelwells. If you do this, I'd just clean them with a slightly stronger than normal shampoo mix. If you don't wax/treat/etc. them I'd use an all-purpose cleaner (but not Simple Green, it can discolor aluminum).

I dunno if I'd spray bedliner in a 'vette's wheelwells, I'd rather just keep them factory (and well detailed).

I'm thinking of using either clear Trim-A-Shield for a more permanment dressed look to wells or AutoInt's ETR product. I would need to gather additional info though.

go to grocery store, buy 'Mop'n'Glo' floor cleaner, mix it 50/50 with water, spray it in wheel wells, wipe with sponge, walk away!
