What tire applicators do you guys like for Low Profile tars ?

I'm thinking about cutting my E0 in half to see if it works better.....



The curve is just not working out for me.

Tried the 3 local autoparts stores *autozone, pepboy and R&S* and they don't carry any flat ones.

You could just use a foam applicator or other (terry, MF) applicator or just a piece of sponge.

I just use the normal foam applicator for polsihes and waxes. They work really well on applying tire cleaning products as well - you can get right in the wheel well with your hand to clean all around the tire

Look for some foam paintbrushes at wal mart. They come in varying sizes and work well for applying dressing.

Ha. I just need to get one of those hot *line* machines that they use to cut the foam up !



Then I would use that to cut up some of my older 6" foam pads and make all types of foam hard apps for me - tires, exterior door moulding, etc ;-)



Actually, I've been looking at those Edge swabs for some of my exterior moulding and if not for the ac grill slats when I put 303 on on the interior !

Well, it wouldn't be the first time someone cut up a polishing pad to use it for other uses, and I think you'll be fine with a good scissor. Of course truzoom is right about the foam paint brushes, as well, I have used them for tire dressing, as well as hearing the original suggestion from Poorboy Steve for use with his trim restorer.

Or you could try my simple system: 303 gets sprayed into wheel wells, on tires, and wheels all at once. Excess is then wiped off wheels and a few moments later off the tires. Quick 'n easy, though 303 isn't the cheapest stuff, but what's a few extra pennies for good looks and convenience. Same philosophy as I used to use for dating...

I just cut my EO tire swipes to size. Works like a charm, but IMO EO swipes get lower and lower quality every year. Lately, I've been using the Pinnacle tire dressing applicator and that seems to work well too.

I use the small eagle 1 foam tire dressing wipes. Perfect size for low profile tires.

I use a 2" paint brush & paint on the shine... Not the foam brush's either... Works a treat.

Chef, I've found some of those cool, ultra-dense sponges (like the ones provided by Poorboys) and cut them to the exact width of the contour. I keep these small sponges in marked ziploc bag so they are reserved for tire use. It's been a real time saver.
