What the heck is "Social Networking"?

Social Networking is a guise that corporations (or businesses) use to freely gather personal information (including all such social interaction) that 5 years ago you would have fought tooth and nail to keep out of the public sector. But, ultimately, you won't have to shop - products will find you. :D

Although you don't realize it, your interaction is as a human being is essentially "social networking". The term social networking has been popularized by sites such as friendster, facebook, twitter, myface, etc.

When your wife insists to have a formal dinner at her cousin's house, that's a form of social networking. You introduce yourself and your career types to the other party involved is a form of networking. You also get to know more about the opposite parties. For your wife's cousin tells you that he is the salesperson at a BMW dealer, the next time you want to buy a BMW, you find the cousin to give her your business. When you attend religious or social events, that's essentially social networking because you meet new people that could potentially lend you a hand in the future when you need advice or assistance on a certain topic of interest, say, gardening.

I work at PAC, so if anyone needs help on products or tips on detailing I'm there to help everyone..........Angelo....................Social Networking...:D

A social network is a social structure made of individuals (or organizations) called "nodes," which are tied (connected) by one or more specific types of interdependency, such as friendship, kinship, financial exchange, dislike, sexual relationships, or relationships of beliefs, knowledge or prestige.

Sounds like:

1) Church
2) Local watering hole
