What size pads, backing plates, and brands do you use?

Just wondering what size backing plates you use with what pads, and what brand of pads you use?



I use the 6.5 pads from CMA with a 5" packing plate. I am thinking of maybe finding a 7.5" pad to use with the 6" backing plate.

Durofoam Pads From Classic Motoring Accessories (These pads require a six-inch, Velcro Backing Plate

VP-6) 7.5" Pad size, 6" backing pad + 1/4" all round clearance. The oversized foam pad isolates the backing plate from contact with the car's surface, so you can work without fear of damaging the finish with an exposed baking plate.

CMA sells those pads a little cheaper than LCM sells them. Just a heads up.

Actually www.topoftheline.com is where I get mine and their prices are cheaper than CMA (aka www.properautocare.com) on the same pads and backing plates.
