what size Lake CCS pad?

I was considering going with 5.5" pad instead of 6.5" with PC7424, anybody want to give their 2 cents worth?

The thing that you want to be concerned with is the size of the backing plate and the circumference of the Velcro, on the back of the pad...if the backing plate is a bit larger it will cut into the foam part of the pad...don't ask me how I know this

I like the 5.5 better. They will fit into tighter areas and they offer better paint correcting ability because of the low profile design.

I'm not going to be able to help you with that I do not have a porter cable buffer...maybe someone else who dose can...sorry

A 5" BP will work the the 5.5" pads. I'm not sure there is a backing plate that is 5 1/4" but that would be ideal for 5.5" pads. I have a 5" BP for 5.5" pads and a 6" BP for 6.5" and 7.5" pads.

a 5'' backing plate is perfect for these pads.

* side note - UDM's come with a 5" velcro backing plate.

I use the provided 5-in bp with my 5-in CCS pads. There is like a 2 to 3mm distance from the bp to the edge.
