hey all,

so i am going to detail a range rover sport (dark blue) next week and wanted to know what products to use and in what order. Here are the products I have:

Porter cable 7424 (brand new never used a machine polisher before) w/white, orange and black pads

Klasse AIO

Klasse Sealant Glaze

Poorboy's SSR 2.5

Poorboy's SSR 2

Poorboy's Car Wash

ClearKote Vanilla Moose Wax

P21S Carnauba Wax

Thanks so much.

Regards,

Before making any recommendations, it would be helpful if you offered a little more information. What about:

1. How much time do you want to spend on the Range Rover?

2. What is the current condition of the paint?

3. Do you favor longevity or looks?

Your list also didn't include any clay bar. I would be sure to add that to your list. As a rough order of operations, you could do this:

wash -> clay -> polish -> paint cleaner -> LSP

Just fill in the blanks depending on your answer to the above three questions.

Good luck!

1. I would probably spend a day detailing the exterior.

2. Current condition of the paint is very good. And I already clay bared the whole car about a few weeks ago.

3. I would probably favor longevity but I do tend to wash the car about once a week.

Hope this helps. Also, the RRS is a very dark blue color.

Thanks so much,

If you have a mind to use most if not all the products, and assumming you do not need to clay again, here's my personal suggestions:

Car wash (of course :D)

Next, start off with SSR 2; if that does not address the paint marring sufficiently then step up to 2.5. I cant really speak on the pad choice since i dont use LC anymore, but based on mmy previous experience with the pads, I would start off with the white pad, then the ornage only if you need to do more aggressive polishing.

Do minor cleanup with AIO

From here it gets a lil tricky cause now we are talking about how we want the paint to ultimatly look. If the paint on your vehicle has metallic flake and you want to bring it out, I would go with KSG first, allow it to cure, then apply P21S. If you want a darker look to the paint, you can skip the KSG and just go with CMW. For max protection, do KSG, then CMW.
