What products did you retire/sitting around?

The Driver

Detailers Workshop
Just wondering what stuff you stopped using due to the crazy technological revolution detailing?

Airforce blaster 4.0hp
Hitachi Sp18VA
Adams glass cleaner
CG Jetseal
Meguiars M16
Meguiars M26
Swissvax Mirage
SV autobahn

All of these I feel are just obsolete and are for collectors...

As I acquired stuff....

  • UDM 1.0 DA Polisher with new brushes (s/n 171) - replaced by Rupes 15 but will get in places the Rupes cannot
  • Too many drying towels since I got the Master Blaster (Club Charter member)
  • Some polishing pads that I will never use
  • Assortment of products but do not really throw much away and use some as I can

  • Sonax Perfect Finish :D
  • Most my waxes/sealants
  • A few polishes haven't been touched in a long time

I have a ton of stuff gathering dust. Lots of 3M and Car Brite polishes, Ragg Top, a couple gallons of wheel acid, numberous 7 in rotary pads, a couple older Optimum polishes that I hated, various QDs, and about 20 gallons of Pro Wax soap left in a drum I bought 7 or 8 years ago..turns out I don't need 55 gallons of anything lol.

M80 , M83 , M105 ,Black Wow . Most of my nubas . Now using a lot of M101 , M100, D300 , HD Polish , Menzerna . Gave away my two bottles of Black Wow but now think I was not using it properly. Love using sealants now and my hand waxing days are mostly just a memory. Also I barely touch my rotary or my older da's since getting a Rupes 21.

Your Flex PE14-2 is retired on the shelf?

What did you replace it with and why?

Lol, hell no! I was referencing his post about the hitachi being retired (PE replaced the hitachi). The PE will never be replaced. Even though... I have been eyeing a Shinex RAP 150 FE. When I find the right one on CG I'll pull the trigger.

OK, I feel better now? You had me worried.

With a good rotary and a PC I can tackle just about everything.
