What products are you planning on using for the first time in the near future?

I just tried out 1Z Paint polish and it does a pretty good job. I ordered the 1Z Ultra Polish, Menzerna Final Polish, 1Z Anti-Insekt, and 1Z vinyl and rubber care. They should be here in the next day or so. Can't wait to try them out.

I want to try Klasse even though, and I'll get flamed for this, it seems like more work than what it is worth. Zaino just seems more confusing. You have to get the Z this and the Z that and you need to Z this before you can apply the Z that and if you don't Z one thing the Z will only Z to the Z'd part. I guess the amount of work is justified in the end--when it's not my effort :) End rant.

I'd like to try some of these lab samples too. But the near future would be after winter, no use in trying a new product for me when the minute I pull it out of the garage it will be ruined. I've got some skills with BF2 now. Somehow I find it extremely easy to work with.

I can't wait to try Meguiars "Lab Sample D".:D The product isn't out yet but I've seen some pictures Mike has posted of a black MB using this wax and the only description I have is bottomless pool of water. Supposedly this product will be on the market by late November, I hope to get a taste of it just a bit sooner.;) :bounce

Other products I'm considering is Klasse AIO and SG.:xyxthumbs

From my understanding, the Lab Sample D will be released sometime in February. And, I agree, this product, from all of the testing done by Mike, seems to be a real winner!!!

Well i tried out the 1Z Ultra and it does a good job on moderate scratches and takes care of swirls. I applied it by hand with a meguiers foam applicator. Very easy product to use, off and on without a fuss. You definatly need to follow it up with a finer polish, it does leave hazing. I followed with 1Z Paint Polish and Menzerna Final Polish.

Menzerna Final Polish: Seemed to really bring the paint out before i waxed with s100. Applies easy, breaks down, and dries rather quick. I had a little trouble buffing it off with a dry MF towel so i whiped it with a damp one and it seemed to help. Very good product.

1Z vinyl and rubber care: Has a decent smell looks great. I used in on my exterior trim and it looks wonderful. I applied, let sit overnight, and buffed it off the next morning. We had a little rain today and i did not notice any streaking, this is the problem i had with 303. Great product.

1Z Anti-Insekt: I havn't had a chance to use this yet. My car is bug free at the moment. It has a fairly pleasant smell, smells alot like pine. I'm planning on trying this on my sisters car, she has quite a few bugs on her bumper and hood.

Overall i'm very please with all the products i've tried and would definatly recomend them to others.

I've used with VM and S100, but not with CM/CMW. Next time I do a 3 step on a customers car or have time to actually clean my own car, I'll try it out. Most the cars I maintain need only a two step most of the time and really, using #81 in between would be more for like an 'ultimate finish' type wax job for someone who was going to show a car.

ScottWax,

So if you were going for the "ultimate finish" you would use #81 between VM and S100 or between VM and CMW? In other words you'd VM then #81 then S100/CMW?

I'm a little confused because I thought VM and #81 serve the same purpose.

In a two step process you still prefer VM over #81 then S100/CMW, correct?

Begin with M's CLAY + DACP + MFP

followed by AIOx2 + SGx2 + PUPPx2 then as time & weather permit up to 10 layers of Souveran

If anyone thinks the PUPP will strip the SG, I'll skip the SG and go PUPPx4

Going on the red Lightning in my avitar, hood first

3M Waffle-weave pads, SONUS HGAS and the Gummi-stick. I actually want to try out a lot of the new (well, new to me at least) 'euro' stuff at the Autopia store. So far, I've tried the Sonax Bug spray & 1Z polishes and they're all excellent!

Vanilla Moose has very light abrasives and for all intents and purposes, #81 has none, just a lot of polishing oils. In a two step process, I prefer VM because it leaves the paint glass slick while #81 leaves it 'sqeaky clean' and wax glides over VM more easily.

Placed a few orders tonight. Purchased:

VM

FD

One Grand Special Touch (for a friend's car with hard water spots)

Can't wait until they get here!

Well my VM, OGST, and FD have arrived, though I haven't used the VM or OGST yet.

Ordered 2 more jars of S100 and MPPC last night. About to order some #81 and more MFs in a little while.

Only other product I plan to try in the very near future is Poorboy's S&W. Maybe Clearkote's Carnuba Wax although I have PLENTY wax now!

Just made an order from Top of the Line earlier today.

3 Buff & Shine 6" PC pads

3 Lake Country PC pads

16 oz. Hi-Temp Light Cut

I chickened out on the Hi-Temp paint sealant...I guess maybe I'll get Collinite and/or this new Meguiars NXT wax for a wax w/ longevity of protection. Its a present from my family for Christmas. :) I think I'm gonna wash & wax my mom's Jimmy for part of her Christmas present.
