you would want to swap the wax and the sealant around. but if you are going to use a sealant, i would make sure the car has been clayed in the recent past. your end result is a direct reflection of how well you prepped the car on the previous steps.
:yeah
Welcome to DC Shoshi!
You will find the Pros on DC are pretty tolerant of our questions.
If you go to this
Link and check out the "stickys" at the top of the page, you will get lots of good information to give you a start.
It seems like most everyone has their own favorite process and products, but what works for me follows.
1. Wash: Meguiar's Gold Class Shampoo or Poorboy's Spray & Wipe. I have also used Protectall's Quick and Easy Wash with good results.
2. Clay, (rarely): Clay Magic with Meguiar's Final Inspection QD for a lube.
3. Swirl removal: Meguiar's #9 Swirl Remover 2.0 with a PC and Meguiar's polishing pad. PC at 4.5.
4. Clean/prep: Klasse AIO with a PC and Meguiar's polishing pad. PC at 4.5.
5.
Last
Step
Product: 4 Star Ultimate Paint Protection with a PC and Meguiar's finishing pad. PC at 4.5.
The Klasse AIO and the 4 Star UPP can be used by hand about as easily as with the PC.
If you have to do your swirl removal by hand, you might find some of the Poorboy's SSR line easier to use than Meg's #9. :dunno
