What Pressure Washer?

I am curious as to what pressure washers the other mobile guys are using. Mine just took a crap on me and I went to purchase another one from Sears and I got it home hooked it up to my water tank and it no workey. So of course I took it back and now I am in a pickle without a PW. Trying to get mine repaired but I have to wait on the parts to arrive. So with that said I need to seriously consider upgrading my PW to a more commercial line so it has more metal parts than plastic.

Whatcha guys think?

I originally bought the 2800 excell honda motor, cat pump pressure washer from home depot. It worked alright for me. But after putting alot of use on it "6 days a week" the pump started acting up on me so i replaced the pump to a cat gear driven pump with a seprate unloader. I had it plummed up so that when not in use it dumps back into my water tank so that it don't burn the pump up.

So when you go to buy one Make sure it has a seprate unloader so you can plum it up to flow back to the tank. If not you'll burn the pump up if your not careful. Try to get one with a cat pump and honda motor as well.

yes i am running off a tank. It is better to have a gear driven pump if your running off a tank. It sucks the water out, unlike a regular pump is just gravity fed.

I have been using this set-up since January and am extremely pleased. I had a few questions during the initial install and their guy helped me out big time. I bet I am approaching 75 hours on it-- never a problem. IIRC, the tank was about $270 (Stainless straps) and the PW was $600??? See my webpage> blog> scroll to bottom to see pics from a few months ago when it was finally bolted down into the van. HTH

I am considering that set-up as well. They seem to have it set up pretty nice. I have to do something soon as my business is picking up and my 2 main concerns right now are the PW and my water tank.

With that said I think that I am going to order a 200-250 gallon tank and a PW that has the unloader as mentioned abave and a more commercial unit. I think in the long run it will be money well spent,
