I'm currently using the PC 7424 and like the results I'm getting, I can really make cars shine and get most of the blemishs out, but it just takes so flipin long, last big detail I did was on my brothers g35 (black) it was so bad it looked gray (to an extent) 12hours later I looked Jet Black again but my god that was a long night.

SO WITH THAT I was looking to transtion over the the rotary world, but Im kinda nervous I dont want to burn paint or put swirls in it. I have used a rotary about 7 years ago and I did good but that was before I even knew what I was doing.

What would you all recomond I do? I kinda figured if I put swirls in some paint I could in theory use the PC correct my mistakes. I also plan on detailing on the side to earn a few extra bucks to pay for gas and other bills.

I posted a poll of what buffers/ polishers Im considering please choose and explain

Thanks again

No love for the Flex L 3403 VRG. :(

I like this polisher because it's lightweight, build quality is high (German engineering), and it's not overly expensive (about the same as Makita, Dewalt).

The Makita 9227c is a very safe choice because it is the industry leader. It's moderately lightweight, powerful, extremely reliable, and widely available.

Voted: Flex XC 3401. Mine is in the mail, and it appears to be the best balance between the safety of a PC and the results of a true rotary.
