What polish should I get that is non-abrasive and I can top w/ FMJ

I don't want to keep cutting into my paint with FP all the time, I would only do this about 2x a year at most. I was wondering I have Blackfires polish which is easy on the paint and easy to use, what else along these lines can I use to fill in some imperfections/ swirls. I am not pleased w/ the Menzerna glaze and am looking for a good alternative. Thanks
 
anything that fills could cause a potential bonding problem with the FMJ-AIO, ColorX should work - NXT hides imperfections and might work under FMJ
 
FP and FPII have very light abrasives in them and unless your using a rotary your not going to remove much paint if any at all. For very light marring induced by washing use it with a finishing pad, 3-5 times a year shouldn't be a problem at all.

Even if FP and FP II contain abrasives, when used with a finishing pad, you're not cutting it.



Just as I do #80 every 2 mos. using Megs finishing pad. Or every month, if applied by hand.



There was a test done by a member in MOL to demonstrate how much paint you're cutting. This was done using a paint thickness gauge. At the last step, Megs #84 (Compound cleaner) was applied using W9000 finishing pad (orange) via rotary to remove sanding marks, which somewhat improved the appearance although left the spot hazy. The guauge reads the same .3 mil before and after.

So I guess I will use fp with a grey pad from what I gather and at most spot here and there with a white pad. All this talk lately about cutting away at the clear has made me worried. I also plan on buying #80 and 83 in gallon sizes for the upcoming season instead of using Menzerna which is more expensive. Thanks for the help
