what pc to buy?...URGENT!!!!

That looked like a decent deal, the only thing is some of us prefer the low-profile flexible backing plates. How often do you change them? I have only "worn out" a Meguiar's backing plate. I usually use a 5", but go to the 3"(?) for the 4" spot pads...I also have a 6" BP, but I don't think I have used that yet.
 
I looked up the pdf manual for the DeWalt on their website and my first impression was the currently available aftermarket backing plates wouldn't work on that one either. Pity, it looks like a good machine. Maybe this is an opportunity for the aftermarket to make a move.
