What pads for PC with Megs polish?

I am looking into new pads for my PC? I need a new backing plate and an assorment of pads. Currrently I'm using the 3m backing plate which needs to be replaced, and meguiars 6.5" pads. I have a few others but really like the feel of Megs pads. I would try other flat pads but all see is the waffle or dippled kind.

I am also looking to use these with 105, 205 combo.

thanks

You could go with the Meguiars W68DA backing plate and W9207, W8207, and W7207 pads. :bigups

From my recent use, 105/205 work best with larger pads (6.5 or 7-in). The Meg's 2.0 pads work perfectly. It slows down the break down. Smaller LC CCS pads (like 5-in) did not work as well with 105 when trying to follow how Meg's (Mike Phillips) showed how to use it. I know think I appreciate flat (vs CCS) pads better.

I think that 7" pads on the PC are not very effective/efficient for defect removal. That's personal opinion only.
I share this opinion. Specifically, the previous generation 6.5" Meg's pads was a stretching the boundaries of the PC. I am unclear as to why Meguiar's determined that the increase in pad size was an improvement.

I have been using 4" and 5.5" flat LC pads. Mostly the 4" though. I have had great results with 105/205 combo

i have 2 sets of full 4 inch and 6.5 inch pads but i know i want to get 5.5 inch pads for sure because those probably have the most capability in correction with the PC, i tried the 4 inch pads and unless you have eons of time it wont get a job done in ample time and im thinking the 5.5 inch pads would be indeed most effective for the PC but i havent tried yet ...

also i did not see much difference in polishing cutting ability between yellow flat 4 inch and orange 4 inch pads but then again i am still new to it ...

i would imagine you could do one pass 105 both purple foamed wool and orange pads, then run 205 for a pass or two with orange & white polishing pads .

Ryan I have tested a few panels with 105 and 205, and it seems like you are doing to many passes.

I had very bad swirls to remove, and 105, Flex and orange took it out effortlessly with just a few passes. 205 I felt could of used a little two step maybe.
